Dr. Caroline Kobia, an assistant professor of Fashion Design and Merchandising is uniquely qualified to mentor veteran entrepreneurs interested in the fashion industry. Kobia teaches fashion entrepreneurship and assists students in developing economically viable and competitive business plans. She also incorporates Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in her classes that teach aspiring entrepreneurs the full workflow from the style creation, order taking, production, inventory, and invoicing. Her research focuses on consumer behavior in traditional and online environments and aims to understand consumer attitudes and experiences shaping today’s retail environment. Kobia is certified in global social entrepreneurship and works internationally to help develop and launch social ventures. She is also certified in leadership on rural education and policy by Stennis Institute of Government and Community Development and works with small businesses to revitalize economic growth.
